Semester 1, 2026-27 (September, 2026 – January, 2027)
UCDSB schools are now closed to applications through our homestay partnership offered in collaboration with Canada Homestay Network; however, we are pleased to let you know that there is another option available.
MLI Homestay is able to support additional applications to UCDSB schools with homestay and custodianship services. MLI Homestay has advised us that they currently have capacity available across the following communities:
Brockville – Thousand Islands Secondary School & Brockville Collegiate
Cornwall – Cornwall Collegiate & St. Lawrence Secondary School
Carleton Place – Carleton Place High School
North Grenville – North Grenville District High School
Perth – Perth & District Collegiate Institute
Smiths Falls – Smiths Falls District Collegiate Institute
Students should still apply to UCDSB through our regular application process. When completing the application, please select “Homestay Not Required.” Students should also identify their top three school choices. To maximize placement opportunities, students must select schools in three different communities (for example, not two schools in Brockville or two schools in Cornwall).
Once a student has been admitted, we will issue a Letter of Acceptance (LOA). You can then contact MLI Homestay directly to apply separately for homestay and custodianship services. After MLI Homestay has accepted and processed the application, we will work together to confirm which school placement is available amongst the student’s three choices.
Please note that all homestay and custodianship arrangements, fees, payments, and support services would be provided directly by MLI Homestay. UCDSB/UCLCET would not be involved in the administration or support of the homestay placement.
